Tried coloring my hair for the first time from home. It’s slightly more mahogany than usual, but it doesn’t look bad. Plus, I’m a poor college student who had a coupon. So, the $3 I paid for the kit was well worth the next month or so that this will last until I can go get it done by a professional.

So, my evening of essay writing may or may not have been interrupted by a phone call from the coolest kid in my life: the Marshall to my Lily, y’all.

But despite giving up on the essay writing after our chat and opting to get a hot bath and watch Netflix instead, I still managed to write about 9-10 pages of what’s due within the next two weeks! I still have plenty of time to get them done on time. Taking a break after writing for about ten hours straight is perfectly acceptable in my book…

After all, I don’t want to look like this:

And thus the inspiration finds me!

I think I’m going to totally own this essay about gender roles and sexuality in Antony and Cleopatra and Twelfth Night.

So,
I’ve successfully reaped all my little nuggets of notes from my copy of Twelfth Night… Now to begin writing..

This is the most intimidating part.

That stupid little blinking cursor.

After revising my first essay, it is now time to move on to sexuality and gender roles in Shakespeare

And the first (quite rough) draft of my close reading is done!

But still so much more to do…

Marathoning Essays

Hello! And welcome to Hannah’s Upper-Classman years of college at a four-year university. The years in which she is taking classes concentrated on her major, but doesn’t necessarily enjoy the way in which the courses are taught.

However, she shrugs her shoulders and gets over it, and tries her best, no matter the outcome. That’s all she can be expected to do, after all.
But this, of course, means that all of her courses decide to have heavy, deep, thoughtful essays due within two weeks which total at least fifty pages.

And this leaves the extroverted Hannah who loves being with people locked up alone in her room,

typing away,

drinking pot after pot of tea,

listening to amazing music,

and sighing for the time when she can see people again.

And of course she’s going to live-blog the whole experience.
Doing that seemed to help writing essays her freshman year of college… So, why not now?

Stay tuned for the experience by experience blogging of a close reading of Antony and Cleopatra!
